M16 Rifle Floor Lamp - Philippe Starck Guns Collection
Saw this at SPACE, Millenia Walk. Costs over 7K, but I want one…
This M16 Rifle Floor Lamp has a body in die cast aluminium with injection moulded polymer overprint and gold plated finish 18K. Matte black plasticized paper diffuser, silk screen gold printing inside, with subtle S+arck signature cross decoration.
My intent was to create objects to remind us that our state of well-being is the result of somebody else dying Philippe Starck
Black as colour of death
Crosses of our dead ones
Gold colour as ambition
War weapons; domestic weapons, bedside, table, living room weapons.
Aux Armes everywhere, as an ending…
