Lunched at Wakaru today. It’s a Japanese casual dining restaurant at Central. All I can say is, I’m going back there again, soon!

Uni Gunkan
We felt adventurous and decided to try the deadly-if-not-prepared-properly Sea Urchin! It has a mix of very subtle tastes, slight sweetness, creamy texture, and a tiny tiny bit of fishiness to it. Overall a nice experience.

Tonpei Yaki
Pork and cabbage omelet. This dish makes a great appetiser. The omelet is cooked to perfection - patches of raw egg are still visible. Pork slices are tender. The cabbage inside is as fresh as it can get. The combination of the textures: Smooth creamy egg, the tender pork and the crunchy fresh cabbage inside, topped with Japanese teriyaki sauce and mayonnaise, is simply amazing!

Katsu Chicken Curry Udon

Aburi Chicken Curry Udon
The Japanese curry broth is full of flavour and with a tat of spiciness. What makes all their Udon dishes great is their Udon. I believe it’s handmade. And unlike the common round udon you see, Waraku’s squarish. It’s smooth and has a very chewing texture to it. (Chinese call it Q Q texture) Also, the udon noodles seem to soak up the curry broth very well! Simply delicious! YUM!
Waraku - Go try it if you haven’t!
