Bang Bang’s Night out

Posted on September 23rd, 2006 in Daily | 4 Comments »

Went out with the gang on the eve of my Bro’s Birthday (Happy Birthday!). Had a great dinner at Manhattan . Ordered 2 huge seafood platter, one even came with a whole Soon Hock fish!. The garlic mussels rocks (u’re right lin!), the sotong and the fried mussels not bad too!.

Went over to SMU (yes SMU!) after dinner. I must say SMU looked kinda nice in the night. And I concluded that SMU rawks because of their gym and their in-house bar: fryjch! Their freaking gym is like California’s standard.. compared to ours, which is a fraction (of a fraction) of their size. Fryjch is a great place to hang out and chill. I like their plush sofas and bed, and also… the CUTE bartender (co-owner) hahaha.

11pm: After a few bottles of beers and countless rounds of Air Hockey, we went to one of the study rooms in SMU, to attend a late-night lecture by the distinguished Prof Chen. The topic for the night: “The rise of China as a Superpower is a threat to Southeast Asia. Discuss“, which, 5mins later, became: “Why are all of us still single“.

Why are all of us still single?

  1. Because we are horny, and horny = not nice guy.
  2. I am horny because I ADIDAS (All Day I Dream About Sex)
  3. Because we bo liu, and bo liu = bo charbor

…And therefore all of us are still single! hahaha

Great, great night! till next time guys!.

People Around You

Posted on September 9th, 2006 in Daily, Thoughts | 9 Comments »

A lot of things happened to me recently. And those things made me realised that (or affirmed) the fact:

It’s the people around you that matters most

People around you decides or greatly influences the success of what one does. All we need is one bad worm to spoil the whole show. Successful people like Donald Trump, Steve Jobs and Bill Gates have hordes of brilliant people around them, to help them achieve their goals. You need people with drive, with responsibility, people with are willing to find solutions for their problems and not push them aside (or to someone else). Therefore, we have to weed out those who will stand in your way. Like what Donald Trump always do, “You’re fired

People around you either make or break your day. When you are feeling like shit one day, having a nice chat with someone, or just spending time with him/her makes you feel a whole lot better. It’s not because he/she can solve your woes, but you find comfort around that person. So sometimes I feel very lucky to have met my group of good friends.

That brings me to another point:

Keep your friends close, but keep your enemies even closer

Friends here is defined a people who will be there in times of need. They are the one who may get you out of trouble one day.

Why keep your enemies closer? So that you can watch their every move, keep them under control, remove their element of surprise, enabling you to strike before he/she does.

What a cruel world I live in…

Botak Jones

Posted on September 6th, 2006 in Daily, Food | 2 Comments »

Today my cousins, his friends and I went to check out the much hyped Botak Jones. For the uninitiated, Botak Jones is a neighbourhood All American Food chain. Their flagship stall is at Tuas Industrial area, and they have 2 branches, Ang Mo Kio and Clementi. According to them, they serve quality all American food in American sizes at very afforable prices. (which is true).

So we went to the Clementi outlet. And these are what we ordered:

[From left] The Double Botak: 2 x 150g of beef patties topped with melted cheddar cheese. The Double Botak (alt view). The U-CRAZY-WHAT?! burger: 3 x 150g juicy beef patties topped with melted cheddar cheese.

[From 2nd left] Cajun Chicken Plate. US Smoked Turkey Sausage: One foot long willy.
