As I was browsing through my photos in Picasa, I came across some photos of myself, taken when I was very young. And I thought that I was kinda cute.

Today’s weather was exceptionally good. Slight overcast, cooling and best of all, not humid. Anyway, met my little Brother for some dessert hunting after I saw the feature on TV. It’s along Chinatown’s Temple street at a shop called Wei Xiang Yuan.

Their signature dessert: Mango Sago with Pomelo.

The mango puree is smooth and full of the wonderful mango frangrance. (The reason being that the stall owners used Honey Mango from Thailand). However, the dessert is not too sweet such that it will make one “gilard” after a few spoonfuls. The sago and especially the pomelo add flavour and nice texture to the dessert. The slight sourness of the pomelo also complements the mango’s sweetness, good balance. Totally worth the 3 bucks.

Out of curiosity, my Brother and I decided to try another of their dessert: Egg Pudding /w Ginger. Both of us agree that it’s an acquired taste. It tastes like chawanmushi but with more of the raw egg taste and sweeter. Luckily we got the one with ginger… else I don’t think I can down pass 2 spoons. Not my kind of dessert.

I highly recommend the Mango Sago with Pomelo, skip the Egg Pudding.

YES! My favourite TV show at the moment won the 58^th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards for Best Drama series and its lead actor Kiefer Sutherland won the Best Actor in a Drama Award! They deserve the win because this is god-damn best show yet. If you like conspiracy theories, espionage, intelligence, counter-terrorist actions, twists, mind boggling plots, the US President, the US secret service or Elisha Cuthbert… You have to watch 24!

The unscientific reason:

me: yah. why so men fall asleepp after sex?
kuku: coz they lose their sex drive
me: so if men didn’t have their sex drive, they’d be sleeping all the time?
kuku: well. they don’t really sleep. they just lose interest..
me: so men’s sex drive drives them. without it, they’d just be sleep all the time? so men are driven only by their sex drives?
kuku: that happens to different extents in different men.

so i conclude. if men weren’t motivated by sex.. they’d be asleep all the time.. so everything they do, it’s just their sex drive talking..

The real reason:

At orgasm, both men and women release the hormone oxytocin. This is the same chemical the body releases during breastfeeding, which is responsible for putting babies to sleep as they suckle the breast. Why would a grown-up boy be any different? He wouldn’t. Oxytocin is also known as the chemical that precipitates “bonding” between mother and infant during breastfeeding and may be what makes women want to cuddle after sex.
